Men's Fashion Blazers

There was a time when blazers were seen as old-fashioned, and it was the older generation who tended to wear them. Thankfully someone realised that younger men look good in them too, and they're now entrenched in all the big high street stores.

Most men will already own a blazer or two, since it has long been a staple item in most wardrobes. It's almost a guarantee that your blazer will be smart however. This season has taken the classic look a little further and added a twist, creating the unstructured blazer. It is one of this season's new must-haves.

The unstructured blazer is a key piece, essential for any man's wardrobe and perfect for when the weather might turn a little chilly. The difference between this and the traditional blazer is that the unstructured version is not tailored and adds a more informal element to an outfit. The shoulders are natural and this helps to make it a really simple yet effective jacket for the summer.

Unstructured blazers can be worn with a simple polo shirt and jeans or chino shorts. Complete the look with one of this season's trends, no socks and simple deck shoes. This season's bold colours and patterned prints for shirts and ties work really well with this type of jacket, so this is one item which is guaranteed to become an essential part of most outfits this summer.

Navy blazers work well with most other colours in your wardrobe, so it's worth investing in a good quality piece which you know will stand the test of time. Neutral colours will also work best with most other items you already have in your wardrobe. However, if you are feeling slightly more adventurous, try a blazer in one of this season's fabulously bold colours, such as red or yellow.

When it comes to the cooler weather this fall, a blazer is a key piece to have around. You can layer it with just about anything to keep out the chill of an autumn evening. As with any outfit, accessorizing is key, so if you go for a neutral colour you can make it a lot more interesting with a funky tie or some jewellery.

Our top tip for blazers - rolled up sleeves are a great look and fashion hats match really well. The key with unstructured blazers is to keep the look informal and it's all about having fun.
